The month of August 2011 will forever be engraved in the history of the show
Secret Story
, but for very tragic reasons and far from any connection with the show itself. On the night of August 8 to 9, a first tragedy occurred and will mark the minds of fans for a long time, and even today: the death of François-Xavier, known as FX, after he threw himself under the wheels of a car. A shock for all the teams, when the young man was only 22 years old and was known for his joie de vivre and his exuberance in season 3 of the successful TF1 reality TV.
But another disaster, more under the radar, shook the show’s teams just as much: the death of Isabelle Guillaume, candidate for season 2, only 9 days after that of FX. The Belgian blonde then suffered a ruptured aneurysm at the age of 30. She was then known for her secret and especially her rather atypical profession for the time: “I am an undertaker”, a secret discovered by Marilyn and John-David.
An unrivaled passion for metal
Eliminated on the 42nd day of competition, the young woman confided afterwards that she had difficulty finding her place. The young woman had indeed been close to giving up on several occasions to find her companion, Pierrot, who had then proposed to her live on the prime set to cheer her up. Isabelle had also taken refuge and comforted herself thanks to her passion: metal music.
It was also in a radio dedicated to metal, Radio Quartz that Isabelle worked, a station which must have made the sad announcement at the time: “It is with great regret that we learned of the death of Isabelle Guillaume, this Thursday, August 18, following a ruptured aneurysm. For several years, Isabelle had joined the Metalzone team (Sunday evening) to share with listeners her passion for Metal of unparalleled simplicity and kindness, Isabelle will be greatly missed. We offer our sincere condolences to Pierrot, his family and his friends., we could read at the time on the radio website. A drama which, we hope, will not happen again with the candidates for the next season, which will begin on April 23 on TF1.
