Latvian Raivis Kristians Ansons led the charge for the Drakkar while Olivier Adam defended the fort brilliantly and the Côte-Nord squad easily defeated the Cape Breton Eagles 5-0 on Sunday in Baie- Comeau.
Ansons scored twice, including scoring the first goal of the game, before being the accomplice of another success of his own. Adam made 23 saves to sign a second shutout this season and a fourth in his career.
Xavier Fortin, Jacob Gaucher and Andrew Belchamber also sparked the red light in the victory.
The Drakkar thus signs a third victory in a row. He must now prepare for a three-game, three-day trip to the Maritimes that begins on Friday.
