The city of Béziers intends to put an end to dog droppings on the sidewalks. This involves the DNA reading of the animal. This could cost up to 122 euros per dropping.

Offenders who have not picked up the droppingshave to be more easily verbalized. “This will allow people to take responsibility”says a local resident.
122 euros fine for dropping
This does not raise the teeth of the Biterrois who can have the DNA of their animal taken free of charge this weekend in order to identify it. If they do not present the genetic file of their four-legged companion, they will have to pay a fine of 38 euros and 122 euros for cleaning if the abandoned droppings belong to them. But this doesn’t concern everyone. “We’re not going to tell the tourists if he has his DNA identity card”specifies Robert Ménard, mayor of the city.
