October 11, 2021 is a day of mourning for the France Télévisions teams. Jean-Daniel Flaysakier died in Sables-d’Olonne (Vendée). Appreciated by all, he will forever remain in the hearts of the French as the health man of France 2.
It was a bit of his trademark, a bow tie every time on the air with a legendary sense of pedagogy. Jean-Daniel Flaysakier has been the health mister of France 2 for years. The spectators of Telematin from 1985 to 1991 remember his benevolent presence on the set. As a journalist, he writes columns and reports, in particular for Special Envoy.
Despite his recurring journalism activities, Jean-Daniel was above all a doctor who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Tours. Volunteer and always wishing to help his neighbor, he had gone to Africa to vaccinate as many people as possible against hepatitis B. The latter had not been on the screen since 2018, but Jean-Daniel never left medicine, working in the Gustave Roussi institute in Villejuif with women suffering from breast cancer. A caregiver whose thirst for knowledge was inexhaustible commensurate with his enormous talent.
