“It’s still super current,” assures Chiara Piazzesi, who also suggests watching two adaptations, released on screens in 2021.

The first, written and directed by Hagai Levi (The Affair), under the same title, Scenes from married life, was produced for HBO, starring Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac. Nearly 50 years later, she re-examines the representation of love, desire, monogamy, marriage and separation.

The second is the third season of the series Master of None, on Netflix, directed by actor and comedian Aziz Ansari, with Lena Waithe. “It’s a bit the same story, but with a lesbian couple,” explains M.me Piazzesi. It’s super interesting. We see couples in the daily challenges of communication. Why does it fail? What’s not working? »
