“The disappearance of the landscape” with Denis Podalydès on May 11 and 12 at Bonlieu Annecy

My window is a painting – the character of the play

A man, alone, in a wheelchair, from behind, facing his window, in his apartment, in Ostend. He doesn’t remember what happened. His memory disappears, like the landscape, first a cloudy sky, then a reflection.

“The disappearance of the landscape” with Denis Podalydès

Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 May at Bonlieu Annecy

When, little by little, the fog invades the meanders of our memory… From the fog in the head of the character, to the fog of the landscape: disappearance seems inevitable.

A minimalist room, simple decor, a single man, an armchair which, the few times it moves, makes a startling noise. Beyond this rectangle which symbolizes a window on the world, there is no after. This does not prevent us from going back to the origins, to the Big Bang.
