For 50 years, a strange optical phenomenon appeared in Strasbourg Cathedral:… the appearance of a famous “green ray” which has now disappeared!
This “green ray” from Strasbourg cathedral, illuminated, during the days of the equinox, a stone Christ, but it could never appear again because the part of the stained glass which produced it was “definitively obstructed” during a restoration.
This curiosity of this ray attracted hundreds of tourists and curious people, during the spring equinoxes (March 20 or 21 at 11:38 a.m.) and autumn (September 22 or 23 at 12:24 p.m.).
