It will be possible to access your OPUS card from your cell phone in order to travel on public transport services in the Montreal metropolitan region from the summer of 2025: this new functionality must be developed gradually within a year , according to the Regional Metropolitan Transport Authority (ARTM).
The digitization of the OPUS card should facilitate the cohabitation of multiple transport tickets for users of different networks, indicated the ARTM in a press release.
This innovation is part of the deployment of the Concerto project, which aims to modernize the OPUS system. The recharging of the OPUS card on your mobile via the Chrono application was notably set up last April. According to the ARTM, more than 490,000 transactions have been concluded thanks to this functionality since its implementation.
