The Devils win in Ottawa

The New Jersey Devils responded with five consecutive goals to sign a convincing 6-2 victory Friday night in Ottawa against the Senators.

In the victory, Jack and Luke Hugues both had a goal and two assists. The first created the tie in the first, while the second drove the last nail in the coffin of the “Sens” at the end of the match.

Jesper Bratt also stood out with a goal and three assists. Just like Jack Hugues, he hit the target while his team was on a power play.

Dawson Mercer, Tyler Toffoli and Brendan Smith also joined the party, despite the efforts of goalkeeper Joonas Korpisalo who finished the game with 30 saves.

In the Senators camp, Drake Batherson and Jacob Bernard-Dockeront vibrated the ropes behind goalkeeper Nico Daws. For Batherson, it was the fourth straight game with at least one point.

The Senators will return to action Sunday evening, while the Buffalo Sabers will be in the federal capital.
