“The deputies of the National Rally are there to be heard and will use all the means given to them by the National Assembly to impose debates that the President of the Republic wants to circumvent, in particular to avoid that of purchasing power which does not is not finished”explained Monday, September 12 on franceinfo, Sébastien Chenu, vice-president of the National Assembly, spokesperson for the National Rally.
He thus justified the remarks made by Marine Le Pen during his political comeback in Hénin-Beaumont in Pas-de-Calais on Sunday. The former presidential candidate has indeed promised to impose “whether or not” the current energy crisis on Parliament’s agenda. She regretted that Parliament had rejected her proposal for an extraordinary session on energy.
Despite the debates on purchasing power in Parliament during the first parliamentary session after the presidential election, Sébastien Chenu believes that this subject is still relevant: “It’s not over because there is a finance bill coming and we will be able to put money back into the pockets of the French.”
Just like Marine Le Pen who qualifies the National Council for the Refoundation of “gadget”Sébastien Chenu accuses Emmanuel Macron of “to seek, by creating artifices, advice [citoyens] that bypass Parliament, to evacuate the deputies of the National Rally and the debates that go with it”.
He explains that there is “in terms of parliamentary niche techniques, subjects that can be put to the vote, so the deputies of the National Rally will put these subjects on the table”.
