The Buckles of Mayenne race is growing, as are the subsidies. This Friday, December 10, 2021, the departmental council voted, during the examination of the initial budget for 2022, financial support of 184,600 euros for the edition next year.
Lesoops de la Mayenne are on the calendar of the Union Cycliste Internationale (Pro-series category) and bring together nearly 120 runners each year. In 2021, the subsidy for this major sporting event in the department amounted to 154,600 euros. The minority group “For the Ecological and Solidarity Mayenne” abstained during the vote on this financial extension, and was surprised that the subsidies to the event are constantly increasing “for three or four years“.
1.9 million viewers followed the race this year on L’Equipe 21. A race for which France Bleu Mayenne is the only audiovisual medium to comment in full.
The 2022 edition of the Loops of Mayenne will take place from May 26 to 29.
