the department of Corrèze remains on heightened alert

The situation remains critical at this time of October. The rain is still sorely lacking. The Corrèze prefecture, after a new water resource monitoring committee, decided to extend the heightened alert level.

The few rains had perceptible effects on the increase in river flows and a slight wetting of the soil. But it is far from enough. To date, 70% of underground resources are still at a filling level below the average. 30% are even at a very low level.

Still quoting in some municipalities

As for the supply of drinking water to users, it is critical. Cisternage is still in progress in certain Corrèze municipalities to supply the networks.

The situation not providing no sustained and regular rains in the coming days, the decision has therefore been taken to maintain the heightened alert and the accompanying restrictions.
