The dematerialized driving license is generalized for all French motorists

No more fear of forgetting your license at home. The dematerialized driving license will be generalized in France from Wednesday February 13, announces the Ministry of the Interior Parisian, Tuesday February 12. After an experiment in several departments, this now concerns all French motorists. The document will appear in the wallet tab of the France Identity application.

In order to obtain this dematerialized license, each motorist must already have the national electronic identity card. A second technique, consisting of importing its “rights to drive” from the road safety delegation database will also be available later this year, according to The Parisian. The registration document and insurance certificate will soon also be able to be dematerialized.
