Before leaving the scene, the Kremlin army took care to hide mines everywhere. Everything must therefore be scrutinized today.
“I am on the ground very often”
“The Russians have increased the presence of mines in this area by 50”, confided a Ukrainian deminer, Monday January 15. Their work is very dangerous, sometimes within firing range of the Russians. Before clearing mines, it is best to clear the area to ensure that the enemy is not hidden. “I’m on the ground very often, you have to crawl slowly. When the Russians shoot at us, we sometimes hide in the mud”, continues the deminer. To erase a year of war, it takes ten years of mine clearance.
