Friday October 22, Karim Benzema should be fixed on his fate in the so-called “sextape” affair. The journalist Sophie Neumayer takes stock from the Court of Versailles (Yvelines).
The requisitions against Karim Benzema fell on Thursday, October 21: 10 months suspended sentence, and a 75,000 euro fine. “Frightening, absurd, disproportionate requisitions, rose up against his lawyers yesterday”, reports journalist Sophie Neumayer, in duplex on Friday 22 October from the court of Versailles (Yvelines). The latter pleaded for release in the morning. “For them, the demonstration of the guilt of their client is not made, there was no threat or constraint on the part of Karim Benzema, they assure”, continues the journalist.
Karim’s lawyer Benzema “even calls into question the attitude of Mathieu Valbuena towards the young woman who appears in this sextape”, adds Sophie Neumayer. The prosecution requested the conviction of Karim Benzema, for complicity in attempted blackmail. “The prosecutors recalled the duty of exemplarity of the striker of the France team”, concluded the journalist. The court is expected to render its decision during the day.
