Schools willing to experiment with uniforms at school finally have until June 15 to apply, franceinfo learned on Friday February 16 from the Ministry of National Education, confirming information from RMC. The closing date for applications was initially scheduled for Thursday February 15.
“The call for expressions of interest is extended until June, the experiment starts in September and lasts two years”recalls the ministry. “To date, we have around a hundred schools and establishments in 19 academies which have expressed an interest in experimenting with common uniforms”specifies the Ministry of National Education without indicating whether any establishments have withdrawn their application.
A “unique outfit” to be adapted according to the territories
This experiment is desired by Emmanuel Macron. “The unique outfit erases inequalities between families and creates conditionswe have respect”the president wrote about X after his big press conference on January 16.
A model outfit was presented by the Ministry of National Education. It consists of a gray or white polo shirt, a navy blue sweater and charcoal gray pants.
