The Forum will return for the first time in two years to this ski resort where the major decision-makers from the world of economy, politics and diplomacy are used to meeting, specify the organizers who had to postpone the event. in the face of the rapid spread of the Omicron variant.

The theme chosen for this edition is “Working together, Restoring trust”, specify the organizers in the press release, with discussions on the program in particular on the recovery after the pandemic, climate change, the evolution of work or technological changes with the fourth industrial revolution.

“After all the virtual meetings that have taken place over the past two years, leaders from politics, business and civil society must finally come together again in person,” said Klaus Schwab, its founder and executive chairman. , quoted in the press release, to “address the multiple challenges we face”, he added.

Since the start of the pandemic, all meetings scheduled for this event have been postponed due to health and travel restrictions which have complicated the organization of major events.

Last year, the organizers first postponed the event to May, moving it to Bürgenstock, not far from Lucerne, in central Switzerland, before deciding to postpone it to August in Singapore before the meeting is simply cancelled.

The lightning spread of the Omicron variant has once again forced the organizers to move the edition again, which was to be held this week in Davos. They have, however, set up a series of virtual sessions with the ambition of taking stock of the state of the world.
