The daughter of singer Jean-Luc Lahaye, Margaux Lahaye, was indicted on Monday January 24 for “tampering with witnesses” in the case of suspicions of rape of minors by her father Jean-Luc Lahaye, learned franceinfo from the lawyer for Margaux Lahaye. In early November, the 69-year-old singer was taken into police custody, along with three women, including his daughter Margaux, after complaints from two young women. They accused her of rape and sexual assault in 2013 and 2014, when they were minors over 15 years old.
Margaux Lahaye was released the next day due to her state of health. The singer Jean-Luc Lahaye had meanwhile been indicted on November 5 for “rape”, “rape of a minor over 15”, “sexual assault of minors over 15”, “corruption of a minor of over 15 years” and “abuse of a minor’s weakness”. He had also been placed under the status of assisted witness for “invasion of privacy by fixing images of a sexual nature” and “possession of child pornography images”.
The two other women who had been placed in police custody with Margaux and Jean-Luc Lahaye are the mothers of the victims, suspected of “non-denunciation of a crime” and “complicity in the rape of a minor over 15 years old”, for having encouraged their daughters to have sex with Jean-Luc Lahaye. They had been released at the same time as Margaux Lahaye.
The singer has already received a one-year suspended prison sentence for “corruption of minors” on one of the two girls in 2015.
