Cowboys Fringants lead singer Karl Tremblay has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The artist revealed the news in a video posted on Facebook on Tuesday.

Karl Tremblay received the diagnosis in January 2020. Since then, he has been followed by a team of doctors, specialists and nurses. His family and friends also help him through this ordeal.
“I had come to announce it to you, to the public and to the fans, because I started chemotherapy treatments and in the next few weeks, I will lose my hair and my beard”, he declares with serenity.
Karl Tremblay has expressed his wish to continue the Cowboys Fringants tour with his “comrades, colleagues and troubadours” of the past 25 years. In a press release, the group’s record company, La Tribu, however indicated that the schedule of the quartet’s shows was likely to undergo changes depending on the singer’s physical condition and his treatment schedule.
