“The danger and the insecurity, it is him”, retorts the spokesperson of the candidate of the RN

“Today the danger and insecurity is him. He is the one who is unable to control them”, launches, Sunday January 23 on franceinfo, Laurent Jacobelli, spokesperson for the RN and Marine Le Pen, in response to the comments of Gérald Darmanin. The Minister of the Interior comes back this Sunday morning in the Journal du Dimanche on Emmanuel Macron’s record in terms of security and judges that if Marine Le Pen came to power, it would be “national discord then civil war”.

“It wouldn’t be as serious as a remark, I would almost want to laugh” launches Laurent Jacobelli, “He talks to us about national discord? Mr. Darmanin, minister of Mr. Emmanuel Macron who has put the French on the street regularly since he was elected? Mr. Macron who wanted to piss off the unvaccinated French? The one who spends his time to divide, who will have fractured French society like never before, he comes to give lessons, and he talks about the dangerousness of Marine Le Pen?

The spokesperson for the RN and Marine Le Pen evokes “latest terrifying figures” in terms of delinquency and insecurity: “2,000 attacks per day in France, an increase in the number of homicides of 12%.” The figures mentioned by Laurent Jacobelli are taken from an article in Le Figaro for the month of July 2021 and relating to the figures for the 1st half of 2021, figures to be put into perspective when reading the latest reports from the Ministerial Statistical Service for Homeland Security, which publishes months per month the figures on insecurity and delinquency.

“According to your JDD colleagues, 69% of French people think that Emmanuel Macron is incapable of restoring security in France.” The Ifop poll for the JDD actually reports 59% of French people who consider Emmanuel Macron’s safety record to be negative. “Yes there is a danger today in France” insists Laurent Jacobelli, “but his name is not Marine Le Pen, his name is Emmanuel Macron, quite simply because in terms of security he failed and in terms of immigration the figures are exploding and immigration today’ today is tomorrow’s insecurity.”
