The dance of the horns | The duty

For several weeks, new music has appeared on the Quebec landscape. Sounds, sometimes shrill and others softer, made the strikers dance on the picket lines. It is pleasant music to our ears. It means “we are with you”, it wants to give momentum, strength in this much-needed fight. This music is primitive, as are the essential demands of our educational world. The horn gets its name from the Greek “klaxo” which means to howl or shout. This therefore justifies his place in the strike. In addition to giving it a new definition, that of support and support for human beings who seek to improve our common life. This music is beautiful in our world today. We feel a solidarity buried within us for a long time which suddenly begins to resonate. The music of the horns carries a strong message. Could he overcome the wall of misunderstandings and systematic refusals? We know that music has great power, so we can always dream.

On the picket lines, we see children (those of the strikers) holding signs or noisemakers, here we are witnessing the best citizenship education course. To see their parents defend their ideas and want to improve the education system. It is surely moving from theory to action. To accompany their parents in their tenacity and learn that together we can join forces for the collective good. It’s a whole learning process that will surely shape what they will become in their future.

They will then have understood that they had experienced the horns of hope.
