Good news for restaurant voucher holders. The doubling of the daily ceiling for these tickets intended for employee catering or certain food shopping is extended until “end of June 2022”, announced the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, on Wednesday 23 February. This daily ceiling will therefore be maintained at 38 euros until this date, when it was to return to 19 euros at the end of February.

These tickets can also be used on weekends, explained Bruno Le Maire, in order to “support our restaurant friends”. The daily ceiling was increased from 19 euros to 38 euros in June 2020, to support activity in the sector in the midst of a health crisis linked to Covid-19. This relaxation had already been extended twice in 2020 and 2021.
One in four employees in France has restaurant vouchers, according to Bertrand Dumazy, CEO of Edenred, parent company of the Ticket Restaurant brand.
