The Culture Pass will be extended to all students from sixth grade

All students entering sixth grade will be able to benefit from the Culture Pass, Emmanuel Macron confirmed this Thursday, during the back-to-school meeting of academy rectors at the Sorbonne, in Paris. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne during her general policy speech to the National Assembly last July.

This device, intended to facilitate access to culture and artistic practices, was previously available between 15 and 18 years old. In particular, it allows each student to finance activities, outings or purchases of equipment or digital goods of their choice, from an application on their smartphone. Students will still be able to benefit from it until they are 18 years old.

After a period of experimentation and initially reserved for 18-year-olds, the Pass was extended to middle school students from the 4th year and to high school students in January 2022.
