Forty-eight hours after the attack in Samara, social networks undoubtedly played a role in the deadly spiral. The 13-year-old student was beaten up in front of the Arthur Rimbaud college in Montpellier (Hérault). A friend, present at the time of the attack, testified: “There were 30 of them following us.” According to schoolchildren, under the name of Samara, tendentious photos of other young people were posted on social networks, but the identity of the schoolgirl had been usurped.
“They didn’t protect her”
“People took her for a liar”, testifies a young person. This harassment lasted more than a year, according to the young girl’s mother who said she alerted the establishment in vain. “They didn’t protect her enough,” she assures. Emmanuel Macron expressed his “solidarity” towards Samara, Thursday April 4. Three young people, aged 14 and 15, were taken into custody for attempted murder of a minor.
