The fifth season of the drama series about Queen Elizabeth II and her extended family will begin on November 9, two months after the Queen’s death, the streaming service announced on Saturday.

Production on the sixth season was suspended on the day of the Queen’s death, and then again for the latter’s funeral.

In the upcoming season, Imelda Staunton will be the latest in a line of actresses who have played the role of Elizabeth II through the decades of her life and reign. The first two seasons featured Claire Foy as the young Princess Elizabeth II ascending to the throne and growing into her role as queen. The third and fourth seasons featured Olivia Colman as a more mature queen.

The series won 22 Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Foy and Colman. Josh O’Connor, who starred as a young Prince Charles in 13 episodes, won an Emmy for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

The pivotal role of Princess Diana passed from Emma Corrin in the fourth season to Elizabeth Debicki (tenet) for seasons 5 and 6. Dominic West takes on the role of Prince Charles, eldest of the children of Elizabeth, who became King Charles III on the death of the latter.

Other newcomers to the cast include Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret and Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip.

The fifth season of The Crown should cover the turmoil the royal family went through in the 1990s, when Charles and Diana’s marriage fell apart. The Princess of Wales died in a car accident in Paris in August 1997.
