The criterium of the Cévennes suspended by prefectural decree due to bad weather

The prefecture of Gard took a decree this Friday evening to cancel the specials of the Critérium des Cévennes automobile until Saturday noon due to bad weather. The race could resume on Saturday afternoon if conditions improve. The Gard and Lozère are placed in orange rain-flood and flood vigilance from Friday evening 8 p.m. The rains that started this Friday will intensify overnight and into the afternoon of this Saturday. The precipitation will then evacuate in the direction of the PACA region. Rainfall amounts can reach 250 to 300 mm on the reliefs, between 100 and 150 mm on the Cévennes foothills and between 50 and 70 mm on the Gard plains.
