“It is not misery that is at the origin of these riots.” This was estimated by Marine Le Pen, on the “4 Truths” set of France 2, Thursday, July 6, about the urban violence which followed the death of Nahel, 17, after a police check in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine). IQuestioned about the government’s proposal to financially sanction the parents of minors who participated in the riots, the president of the RN group in the National Assembly sees it “a real lever”. The former presidential candidate judges that women who raise their children alone will not be penalized by this measure: “Hundreds of thousands of single mothers raise their children and they are not all delinquents”, she said.
Highlighting her former profession as a lawyer, Marine Le Pen mainly targets “judicial laxity”, according to his terms. “In reality, we use a whole series of stratagems to replace, in particular, prison sentences” estimated the deputy of the RN who targets in particular sentences of less than two years where “the criminal response is not there”, according to Marine Le Pen. She then thundered against “total impunity” minors who, according to her, “is a growth hormone of delinquency”.
The president of the RN group in the National Assembly says doD “obviously” the link between urban violence and “the problem of immigration”. Marine Le Pen considers that “entails in the minds of a certain number of people a form of secession from French society”. The day before, during his hearing before the Senate, Gérald Darmanin nevertheless declared that among the 3,671 people arrested during this urban violence, fewer than 10% are of foreign nationality.
