La Creuse loosens the screw on two drought-related restrictions. Mechanized forestry, agricultural and road work is again authorized between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., as well as fireworks and festive fireworks, announced the prefecture on Tuesday August 16, which specifies that “these decrees are however likely to be renewed in the days to come if the situation so requires..”
Evolution of the meteorological context
The authorities justify this decision following the showers of this weekend. On the other hand, the prefect recalls that other restrictions are maintained :
- prohibition of vehicle washing except for health or safety imperatives (risk of fire outbreak).
- Prohibition of watering sports grounds, including at night.
- Prohibition of irrigation of crops, however, nurseries and orchards can still be irrigated from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. with a water-saving device (drip type) and limited to 5m³ per day.
- It is forbidden to use fire (barbecue, campfire, etc.) in combustible natural spaces (forests, woods, moors, wasteland, etc.) or less than 200 meters from them.
