Many players in national tourism were crowned this week, with the Quebec Tourism Industry Alliance having awarded more than a dozen awards of excellence.
The Orpailleur vineyard will be able to sand champagne (or rather, its Orpailleur Brut bubbles!), since the career and influence of its founder Charles-Henri de Coussergues earned him the Grand Builder prize. Without forgetting the next generation, since the student at ESG/UQAM and ITHQ Léo Blain-Tremblay won the Coup de cœur prize.
Concerning the other main winners, in terms of development of the offer and innovation, three organizations stood out, namely Tuque and bicycle experiences (in Quebec), the Cirque de la Pointe-Sèche/Charcoal (near Kamouraska) and Incubateur- Nordic accelerator (national network, established in Quebec). The efforts in responsible and sustainable tourism by La roulotte à patates de Gentilly and the Société du network Économusée were also rewarded, while the new Sentier des cimes, in the Laurentians, was awarded in the accessible tourism category.
