Air, Phoenix, Etienne de Crécy, Benjamin Diamond, Alan Braxe: the jewels of the original French Touch will be joining us for an exceptional evening on Wednesday, July 17, on the roof of Terminal 1 at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Named Terminal 1, this open-air concert will pay tribute both to this gateway to the world in France and to the champions of French electronic music, all of whom have actively contributed, each in their own way, to the influence of French culture around the world.

The event, which will start at 6:30 p.m. and will transform the roof of the terminal into a dancefloor, is free and accessible by registering on the Dice ticket office from Wednesday, July 3 at 11 a.m. The venue is ready to welcome nearly 2,000 spectators.

The evening will be broadcast live on Amazon Music’s Twitch World channel and on Amazon Prime. To mark the 50th anniversary of this airport, the first gateway to France, the French Touch makes sense to highlight the 200,000 passengers welcomed per day.“, Bertrand Sirven, communications director of the ADP group (Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airports), explains to AFP.Passengers on planes on the runways will be able to see this concert, everything has been done so that the lighting system during the show does not disrupt air traffic.“, continues the manager. It is not known, however, whether the noise of the planes will cover the sound of the music.

A big party on the roof of Terminal 1 is attractive, airports are an opening to the world“, savors Alan Braxe for his part. The symbolism is beautiful, poetic“, continues this pioneer of the French Touch celebrated by the duo Justice on their latest album Hyperdrama with the piece Dear Alan (Dear Alan).

The idea of playing and being seen from planes also excites Benjamin Diamond, who will play a duo on the decks with Alan Braxe, authors with Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk of the 1998 hit Music sounds better with you under the name Stardust. It seems a bit surreal to me, but that’s also why the event is taking place at Roissy (another name for CDG), we feel very small.“, he comments. Terminal 1, designed by the French architect Paul Andreu, stands out with its unique giant silhouette, somewhere between a flying saucer and a Camembert cheese.

Air, the emblematic duo of the French Touch, launched a major international tour this year, playing their first album in order for the first time. Moon safari, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023.
