The Crane and Migration Festival will take place at Lac du Der at the end of the month!

The Lac du Der, initially a reservoir, quickly attracted tourists in need of aquatic expanses, before quickly establishing itself as a mecca for ornithology. The emblematic common crane, in particular, attracts all eyes. The Crane and Migration Festival takes place there this month.

Fitted out in the 1970s for regulate the Seine and thus prevent the flooding of Paris and its surroundings, Der Lake is the second largest artificial lake in Europe and a paradise for tourists and birds alike.

For one week, during the All Saints holidays, many activities to celebrate the return of the common crane are therefore organized at Lac du Der, as part of Crane and Migration Festival.

Organized in particular by the League for the Protection of Birds, the Village-Museum of Der, the Lac du Der Tourist Office in Champagne and ornithologist guides, this Crane and Migration Festival allows the general public to see exhibitions picture ofattend a crane raisingof take part in the Crane Rally or to chat with the volunteers of the League for the Protection of Birds.
