The Cowboys Fringants cancel all their fall concerts

After a rather busy summer of shows, Les Cowboys Fringants postponed their dates planned for the fall, due to the health problems of singer Karl Tremblay, who is suffering from prostate cancer.

“I decided to listen to you, to listen to myself too. To take a break “, he said in a video shared Wednesday morning on his Instagram account.

He shared a video on his Instagram account on Wednesday morning in which he said he decided to listen to himself and the advice of his admirers by “taking a break » concerts.

The group had to cancel a few dates this summer due to Karl Tremblay’s cancer treatment schedule.

According to the group’s website, shows were planned this fall in Quebec, but also in France and Belgium.

In his video, Karl Tremblay explains that this break will allow him to concentrate on his treatments and his recovery.

“Cowboys shows are demanding, we like it when it moves, we like it when people sing, when people dance with us,” he said.

He says he will continue to participate in “quieter, more seated” events in his neck of the woods, at L’Assomption.

These are not cancellations, but postponements, he assured.

“We’re not dead, yet, we’re not dead, we’re working on that,” the singer then concludes with a smile.

The Cowboys Fringants, who had never canceled shows in the past, had to give up certain dates last summer.

“We would really like to be with you tonight. Unfortunately, this is impossible. We hope, from the bottom of our hearts, to be able to get back together,” Marie-Annick Lépine, Tremblay’s accomplice in the group and his partner in life, wrote in July about a cancellation in Alma.

The group, however, offered a historic show on the Plains of Abraham at the Quebec Summer Festival, attracting a record crowd of 90,000 spectators.
