The Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR) has ruled inadmissible 253 serial complaints filed against the Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti for public insults towards individuals, announced Friday January 28 the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation in a press release. These 253 complaints had been written in identical terms from a form posted online by the lawyer Fabrice Di Vizio, a figure of the familiar anti-pass movement known for his appeals and massive collective actions.
The complaints were filed after remarks made by the Keeper of the Seals in November on the radio forum J. “Those who refuse vaccines, these ‘hardliners’, are actually a flaw in our system”he said, adding: “They talk to me about freedom, explaining to us that these provisions, in particular the health pass, are draconian, as if freedom allowed people to contaminate others and therefore to kill.”
The CJR’s complaints committee considered that the people who filed the complaint were not part of a sufficiently small group for each member to feel affected and seek compensation for the damage. This decision comes a few days after the filing without follow-up of 19,685 complaints also written from a paid form by Fabrice Di Vizio and filed against several members of the government, denouncing in particular the health pass and the promotion of vaccination against Covid- 19.
