The Bergeracois will be able to, if not touch, at least take selfies with the Coupe de France trophy. The Bergerac Périgord Football Club is playing a historic round of 16 against AS Saint-Etienne on Sunday January 30. The match will be played in Périgueux, but the cup trophy will be displayed on Thursday 27 or Friday 28, just before the match, at the Intermarché store in Creysse, according to information from France Blue Perigord.
Photos and meeting with the players
The silver cup will be on display for three hours, in the presence of players from the Bergerac workforce who will be able to discuss with the public. It’s because Bergerac is the little thumb of the competition that the club has the opportunity to receive the visit of the trophy, as is the case each year with the small teams which live an epic in the competition.
Even if we relocate to Périgueux for the match, we still want it to be a party in Bergerac
BPFC director Paul Fauvel sees him as a gift for the Bergeracois : “We will be able to take photos with the trophy, and the players will be given the shirts for the match against Saint-Etienne. Even if we relocate to Périgueux for the match, we still want it to be a party in Bergerac, because it is with us that we lived this epic against Metz then against Créteil”.
The ticket office is gradually opening
The ticket office for the match opens this Monday morning, but only for sponsors, subscribers and licensees of the club. For the others it will be from Wednesday normally, if the club receives the places in time. First only tickets coupled with a subscription until the end of the season, between 50€ and 70€, then tickets just for the Saint-Etienne match will be put on sale later.
Sales are made only initially at the FNAC in Bergerac, then points of sale can be set up in Périgueux.
