In the next few days, temperatures could reach 40°C in Spain. This situation worries the inhabitants and the meteorologists.

This spring heat wave is explained by hot air rising from the Maghreb and which remains blocked on the peninsula because of an anticyclone. These extreme temperatures worry meteorologists. “We know that the earth is getting warmer. […] The hot is getting hotter and hotter. SO, […] we have temperatures that are becoming more and more extreme for classic weather situations. That’s worrying”, analyzes Jérôme Cerisier, meteorologist at Weather Solutions. Spain is going through an unprecedented heat wave. Producers fear for their crops.
