In the United Kingdom, residents are shocked by the announcement of cancer of the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. “I wish him that everything goes well and the best possible treatment, really,” confided an English woman, Saturday March 23. “This is heartbreaking news,” commented another. The monarchy is therefore undertaking a new transparent operation, a few weeks after the announcement of King Charles III’s cancer.
“She is a model”
“I think this will raise awareness, that more people will get examined and learn more about their health,” said a passerby. The signal is also strong for the medical profession. “[Kate Middleton] is a role model and it’s great that she made this video, because she says to other cancer patients: you can get through this”, rejoices Dr. Karol Sikora, oncologist. Kate Middleton therefore broke the silence, two months after an abdominal operation, an intervention which had caused much speculation in the press. Prince William also announced that he would be more withdrawn from his official commitments.
