He admits he lied. the coordinator of the Munster vaccination center (Haut-Rhin), who had assured in early January that he had been attacked by three people at his workplace, reconsidered his statements, reports the Colmar prosecution, Wednesday January 19.
“Numerous investigations and checks were carried out as part of the investigation (…). Faced with a number of contradictions between the findings made and the complainant’s statements, the latter was heard again this morning and said to have lied”, explains the press release. The man “was not assaulted but self-inflicted the injuries that were noted by the doctors”. Three days of ITT (total interruption of work) had been prescribed for him.
He explained “intentionally injuring himself with a syringe and a
personal cutter that he had picked up at his home in the afternoon, and by
hitting with fists on the thigh”, also specifies the press release from the prosecution. The interested party justified his action by “a malaise he feels”.
He was placed in police custody Wednesday morning for “false denunciation of an imaginary crime” and will be the subject of a psychiatric expertise. He faces up to six months in prison and a fine of 7,500 euros.
