This is the controversy of the moment around the FCSM. As revealed The Republican Eastthe club and PMA (Pays de Montbéliard Agglomeration) have been cold for a few weeks about the conditions for renewing the Bonal stadium partnership. The agglomeration wishes to pass on charges to its tenant (the FCSM), which the Sochaux club refuses, which considers this new agreement too financially disadvantageous.
Added to this bone of contention are other points of tension such as the financing of a training ground and the location of a future development centre. At the same time, the two presidents (of the PMA and the FCSM) reproach each other for inappropriate remarks during these negotiations.
According to the newspaper The Team, the FCSM would threaten not to play Bonal again beyond April 1 2022 if no agreement is reached by this Thursday, March 31.
Negotiations at a standstill… or close to an agreement?
We take stock of this affair with Charles Demouge, president of PMA, guest of 100% FCSM and Samuel Laurent, executive general manager of the club. Sochaux supporters are also asked to comment on this controversy.
