New act in the Jubillar case. The investigative chamber of the Toulouse Court of Appeal has decided to keep Cédric Jubillar in detention, rejecting his request for release, franceinfo learned on Tuesday October 18 from his lawyer, Alexandre Martin. It was the sixth request in this direction from the one who is indicted for the murder of his wife, Delphine Jubillar, at the end of 2020 in the Tarn. The investigating chamber thus confirms the decision of the judge of freedoms and detention of September 22.
This decision comes as the Court of Cassation validated, on September 30, the six-month extension of the duration of the suspect’s pre-trial detention, which was supposed to end in June 2022, a year after being imprisoned.
The 35-year-old plasterer has been claiming his innocence for more than a year. At his request, a reconstruction of the evening of the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020, must take place on November 9 in the couple’s house in Cagnac-les-Mines. His lawyers say they want to understand what their client is accused of, believing that the file does not contain any evidence.
