The Conseil des arts de Montréal announces the finalists for the Grand Prix

The Conseil des arts de Montréal announced this Wednesday the eight finalists of the 37e edition of the Grand Prix to be held on April 6 at the Palais des Congrès.


The cultural initiatives that stood out the most in Montreal in 2022 are Cinéma Beaubien, the Duceppe company, the Montreal Youth Literature Festival, the JOAT International Street Dance Festival, Les érotisseries des Productions Carmagnoles, Onishka, Salle Bourgie and Sight+Sound 2022. The Grand Prize comes with a $30,000 grant and an original work created for the winning organization.

The achievements of each of the organizations can be discovered on the Conseil des Arts de Montréal website. Moreover, the public can vote for their favourite, Télé-Québec will award a $10,000 grant to the organization that wins the People’s Choice Award. Those who vote also have the chance to win $500 to exchange with 725 Montreal arts organizations.

With acuity and sensitivity, the arts elevate us and promote a healthy and dynamic social fabric, where meeting others is decisive and enriching. »

Edith Cochrane will host the gala on April 6, which will be attended by hundreds of artists, cultural workers and municipal and business communities.
