The connected rescue services of the future are tested in Marseille during a European exercise

Robots, drones, cameras, connected by artificial intelligence. Tomorrow’s emergency services are being tested this week in Marseille. The project called “INTREPID” was launched three years ago by seven European countries including France.

7 countries, 17 partners for a budget of 7 million euros

A total of 17 partners including the Marines-Firefighters, but also industrialists, research laboratoriesthe Madrid police, the German firefighters, some sixty people, are gathered at CETIS, the Training Center for Intervention and Survival Techniques of the Marine-Firefighters Battalion.

The objective of this 2nd stage of the European project, to put technology and artificial intelligence at the service of relief operations. Clear be faster, more effective for the victims and safer for first responders to an accident, disaster or fire.

Among the technological innovations, France Bleu Provence tested an intelligent robot.
