It is a mixture of genres that will surprise those who used to see him, baguette in hand, directing the “André Stapfer” philharmonic orchestra of Besançon: conductor Pascal Vuillemin has gone from classical to song. His songs. An old dream that he was finally able to realize, taking advantage of confinements and the end of concerts. A great artistic gap that he fully assumes: “I have always considered that there were no boundaries between music, and that I have known since my childhood. My father listened to a lot of symphonies, a lot of classical, my mother listened to French singers. And when I was very young, I understood that melody was essential in music, whether in classical music, variety, jazz, etc.“.

The artistic confinement was difficult for the musician, so he took the opportunity to tackle this album project. Songs written and composed for him and which he recorded with his musician friends, including figures from the regional scene: “It’s been thirty years that I have songs in me, I never had the time to develop them, to write them, it was now or never. And at the same time, during this period I lost my father, it was a major emotional shock and I said to myself: ‘start writing a song, two songs, two-three songs, and we’ll see later’“.

Afterwards, it gives this album entitled The blue Hour and which contains thirteen songs, with romantic or nostalgic accents and full of sweetness. It comes out this November 19.
