But sometimes we live locked up because it’s unpleasant”, regret Colette Borgne, who fears that the situation will worsen once the track is enlarged. Residents also believe that the modernization of the airport attracts more traffic and devalues the price of their homes.
For the prefect of Loire-Atlantique, the renovation work on this airport, which handles seven million passengers per year, is yet essential. “The airport is obsolete, it has aged a lot. As it was due to close, there has been no heavy investment made for a long time, explains Didier Martin.
