From Monday January 3, children six years and over will have to wear the mask in many public places. A new measure to try to limit the spread of the virus.

Before Christmas, children aged 6 to 11 only wore the mask at school. From Monday January 3, this rule will be extended to certain public places. A measure to which they are more or less prepared. “I have glasses and it’s steaming all the time”, testifies a young boy. “I’m used to it, I wear it in the city and the streets”, explains a little girl. Transport, sports grounds, establishments welcoming the world and places of worship are affected by this measure.

This measure was taken in response to a significant circulation of the virus among the youngest. Indeed, in mid-December, the contamination rate of 6-10 year olds was much higher than that of other age groups and twice as high as that of over 18s. While some parents believe this measure makes sense, others are worried about their children.
