From the opening match on June 14 to the grand final on July 14, no less than 51 matches will be played this summer in Germany.

Who will succeed Italy, title holder? The 17th edition of Euro football takes place in Germany from June 14, with an opening match between the hosts of the competition and Scotland. The Blues enter the fray three days later, on June 17, against Austria in Düsseldorf. Didier Deschamps’ men will play their other group stage matches against the Netherlands on June 21 and Poland on June 25.
Shocks are also expected from this group stage, notably in group B, nicknamed the “group of death”, with Spain-Croatia on June 15 and Spain-Italy on June 20, but also a meeting between Denmark and England on the same day in Group C.
The knockout phase will begin on June 29, with the objective for the Blues not to be eliminated in the round of 16 as in 2021 against Switzerland. A final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, on July 14, a national holiday, could be the apotheosis of a successful tournament for the France team, which has not won the Euro since 2000.
