The Common Front announced Wednesday that in the absence of an agreement by the end of the year, an indefinite general strike will be called at the beginning of 2024.
Common Front union delegates confirmed on Tuesday that this mandate could be exercised.
A settlement is still possible by the end of the year, however, representatives of the Common Front stressed at a press conference on Wednesday morning.
The Common Front brings together 420,000 union members represented by the CSN, the CSQ, the APTS and the FTQ.
