The comic strip on the energy transition The Endless Worldby designer Christophe Blain and engineer Jean-Marc Jancovici, has reached the figure of one million copies sold in France, its publisher, Dargaud, announced on Friday May 3.
“Originally printed at 60 000 copies [en 2021], the album has been the subject of 24 reprints, exceeding one million copies printed and sold, to which are added twenty foreign versions., explained the editor. Over nearly 200 pages, the work reviews the history of humanity’s energy needs and attempts to establish possible scenarios for a planet hit by the spectacular consequences of climate change. The album was praised for the clarity of the subject, but also criticized for the expert’s preference in favor of nuclear energy.
