Pierre Palmade is presented to an examining magistrate on Friday February 17, announces the prosecutor of Melun, Jean-Michel Bourlès in a press release. His placement in pre-trial detention was requested. The 54-year-old actor, who had taken the wheel after consuming narcotics, struck another car on Friday February 10 on the D372 departmental road in Villiers-en-Bière (Seine-et-Marne). All three passengers in the crashed vehicle were taken to hospital. The woman, whose vital prognosis is no longer engaged, has lost her child. The driver and his 6-year-old son are still hospitalized in intensive care in serious condition.
During his police custody, which was extended, Pierre Palmade admitted to having used cocaine and synthetic drugs. “However, he indicated that he had no precise recollection of the circumstances of the accident”, the statement said. The two other passengers in his vehicle, who confirmed that they fled before the arrival of help, are also referred to the prosecution which has “been seized of the facts of non-assistance to person in danger”. Their placement under judicial supervision was requested.
