Wednesday August 31, Benjamin Castaldi was the victim of a new joke from Cyril Hanouna. “Speaking of Castaldi money, how are you doing”, asked Cyril Hanouna in Touche Pas À Mon Poste. The host was entitled to an affirmative response from his columnist. “How come you are in great shape”he began. “If I needed 500,000 euros, it wouldn’t work (…) I won’t sleep anymore”. The former presenter Secret Story asked for this amount because “debt restructuring”. “Do you have 500,000 euros in debt?”one of the columnists asked Simon’s father. “I have many more”he dropped before indicating that he was around two million euros in debt.
A few months ago, Benji had mentioned this subject in TPMP People facing Matthieu Delormeau.
“I had bought an apartment, a country house… I had a heritage (…) I only kept goods which, at the time I did not know, were toxic goods. I had three million euros invested that I thought I would pay on time with a loan (…) When I sold my company, which I sold very well against all of my income (…) I did not anticipate the lifestyle I had and especially that from a huge salary every month, I returned to a salary which will seem gigantic to you but which was ten times lower than what I was earning, 10 000 euros per month.” Before adding: “When you’re on a liner, you’re in the middle of a divorce and you say to yourself, I have to stop the liner, it doesn’t stop in a hundred meters… You realize that you have to brake and I braked too late.”
And today Aurore Aleman’s husband is trying as best as possible to bail out the coffers and get rid of this enormous weight…
