“Marty McSorley’s stick!” We often talk about Patrick Roy’s wink, 10 straight overtime wins and Wayne Gretzky’s silver stick given to Jacques Demers to describe the 1993 Stanley Cup Final. McSorley’s illegal stick used on June 3, 1993 that changed the course of events in the Montreal Canadiens’ last Stanley Cup conquest. What happened to this collector’s item? Who is the proud owner? I can’t believe that collectively we threw this historical object in the garbage! »

“The collector’s item that I would like to own is the huge bottle of Labatt 50 that Gilles Villeneuve ‘slashed’ after taking second place at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal in 1979! What could be more emblematic than seeing my hero celebrate in front of his family with beer rather than the traditional champagne! »

“In my youth, I was a hockey goalie and my idol was Ken Dryden. I have always been fascinated by his first and very singular mask, the “Pretzel goalie mask”. »

“I would like to own the ball that Rick Monday hit on that infamous Monday, October 19, 1981, the ball that eliminated the Expos and denied them a World Series berth. However, I wouldn’t own it for long! As soon as I got it, I’d put it on the big log where I split my wood and smash it to pieces, smash it to bits like it never existed and, who knows, Steve Rogers might maybe resume his throw and retire Rick Monday! »

“You tell Miguel Bujold that I have Wayne Gretzky’s rookie card, in a cardboard box, with those of Tim Hortons, the Golden Seals, rookie Mike Bossy, Henri Richard and company… All the cards of hockey from my youth. »

“I have been a fan of Luc Robitaille for over 30 years now. I have a whole collection of maps, photos, posters, and so on. A very rare item that I miss in my collection is a jersey from his midget AAA team, the Angevins de Bourassa. »

“I have four old golf clubs (which date from around 1920-1924) stored in a frame, but if I had one dream to fulfill, it would be to have Tiger Woods’ putter, the one from 2019. resilience, sweats, hard work, the dreamer, that of the hope that one must always have in life. »

“The puck from the second goal scored by Henri Richard against Tony Esposito of the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh game of the 1971 Stanley Cup Final. The Canadiens’ coach, Al MacNeil, had removed Henri Richard from the lineup in the fifth game. The taciturn Richard responded in his own way! For me, it’s the biggest Stanley Cup won by the Canadiens. »

“I have a goalie mask that I molded myself about 30 years ago. Since 2009, this mask has been adapted from Martin Brodeur’s, but with my nickname Big rather than the MBs or the 30 that adorned the real version. It’s an autograph from Martin Brodeur on this mask that would really make me happy. I hung up my skates two years ago and kept only my mask, hoping one day to see the scribble of the famous number 30 on it.”

“I’m not a big collector at first, but there’s one piece I’d like to own: Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen’s gold world champion shoes. Not only do I find them very beautiful, but they also symbolize the passion for F1 that unites us, my son and me, since he is his favorite driver. »

“In the early 1970s, my friends and I were 13-14 years old. Old enough to make our own way to Expos games at old Jarry Park. For $1 we had access to the popular left field bleachers, renamed Jonesville after then left fielder Mack Jones. Fifty years later (ouch!), I would love to own a section of these backless bleachers to remind me of the pure joy we had in following and encouraging our Z’Amours. We had no idea how precious those years were! »

“It’s a bit unusual, but I would like to have the result sheet of Usain Bolt’s 100m record from Simon Drouin. The addition of Pierre Foglia’s signature to the document would restore all its value to this collector’s item. I would give this collector’s item to my parents, unconditional admirers of the great Foglia, for their great happiness. »

“For me it would be Cristiano Ronaldo’s shirt that he wore in the Euro final against France which Portugal won. I’ve waited for this moment for so long. With the signature of all the players, of course. »

“Bobby Hull’s stick, the one with a notch at the top of the handle allowing him to insert his index finger, which became rigid after a car accident. »
